I’ve been saying it for a while, but now I’m doing it. I need a weekly cleaning schedule again. I’ve done it in the past and it has worked well. It’s just that when I look at my calendar/schedule I just get overwhelmed. But perhaps if I keep it simple that won’t happen? I’m going to give it a go. If you have a weekly cleaning schedule would you please share it? I’m sure mine will need some tweaking
We have daily chores that I’ve divided among the household, which include:
- Pick Up Living Room
- Vacuum Living Room
- Pick Up Dining Room
- Sweep and Mop Dining Room
- Dishes
- Clean off Counters
- Guest Bathroom
So for the more thorough-
Monday: Clean out Fridge, Grocery Shopping, Laundry
Tuesday: Master Bathroom and Bedroom, Bed Linens
Wednesday: Sweep Walk, Back Deck, Laundry
Thursday: Mow Grass, Yardwork
Friday: Dust, Tidy Babies’ rooms, Laundry
Saturday: Kitchen Clean Up
Sunday: Menu Planning
Mine goes something like this:
ReplyDeleteMonday: Clean family room; Wash hubby's uniforms
Tuesday: Clean bathrooms; Wash towels/linens
Wednesday: Clean family room/kitchen/Wash kitchen towels/cleaning rags/throw rugs
Thursday: Clean girls' rooms/Wash their laundry
Friday: Clean bedroom/Wash laundry/Change linenes
Saturday: Grocery shopping
Sunday: Menu planning
And then there is the what I call my Daily Do's:
Sweep kitchen floor
Vacuum carpets
Wipe down tables and countertops in kitchen and bathrooms
Have been thinking the same thing, but our spring schedule will be completely different than what it has been, so don't know how it will all look at the end as far as what day each happens, but here is my list:
ReplyDeleteDaily - dust bust edges, wipe down toilets, wipe down bathroom/kitchen counters, wipe down dining room table, straighten all main areas, dust one room each day, and a load or two of laundry. Weekly - sweep back porch, menu plan/grocery list/grocery shop, vacuum throughout, clean showers, change sheets, clean out fridge, and ironing. I also have monthly which is things like straighten drawers/closets, deep clean stove top, etc.
