2014

Handcuff Run 5K 2/15/2014

Blue Bell 5K 4/12/2014

2013

Hot Chocolate 5K 2/9/2013 38:52 12:31/M -Race Recap-  Ran the whole way, and while I didn't PR as I hoped I would, I was happy I ran the whole way, since there were 2 hills on the course :)

Run 4 the Children 2/16/2013 49:41 12:25/M -Race Recap- Ran the whole way, the first time ever running 4 miles without stopping!  WOOHOO :)

Seabrook Lucky Trail Marathon (4 person Relay) 3/17/2013 6.55 Miles 1:38:40 15:04/M- Race Recap- I'd been sick, and really bonked with more walking then I planned at the end :(...  Enjoyed the race nonetheless....

Blue Bell 5K 4/13/2013 13:41 1M with Shea, 5K 1:01:37 19:35/M-Race Recap- Walked with the littles and the hubby...  Kids got in the stroller, out of the stroller, in out, in out...

Austin 10/20 (10 Miles) 4/14/2013 2:26:09 14:36/M -Race Recap- Not a flat course.  My goal was 2:30, which I made, but I was sick at the end.  Rough race.

Esprit De She 5K 5/9/2013 43:41 14:04/M- Race Recap- Great race, well organized, but I'm really not for running any decent pace in the evening....

Running Mad Summer 10K 7/28/2013 1:34 15:07/M- Had a sore ankle and walked almost a mile.  Did a 1/1 interval, which I like because I feel stronger with it, even though it really slows me down.

Watermelon Run for the Fallen 5K 8/17/2013 1:00ish - Decided to walk it instead of running because they had the names of the fallen all around the route and we wanted to read the names.  Great event, except my ankle was still sore a little, and the road was very uneven.

Toughest 10K Kemah 9/21/2013 1:28:08 14:11/M-  Race Recap- 1/1 except the uphills, which we walked.  It was a torrential downpour AND I had Strep Throat earlier in the week!  I was happy to complete the race, and actually felt great at the end :)

Texas 10 Katy 9/29/2013 2:31:11 16:05/M- 1/1 for the first 7 miles, then walked the rest.  I was still going, when a fellow runner let me know she was struggling a lot, so I slowed to stick with her and get her to the end.  :)

Toughest 10K Galveston 10/19/2013 1:26:54 13:59/M Race Recap- 1/1 except the peaks of the bridge.  Wind was about 25 miles an hour, head wind on the way out, but a tail wind on the way back :)  All in all, a great race!

La Porte By the Bay Half Marathon 11/17/2013 3:37:18 16:35/M- Race Recap-  Started out 1/1, but ended up walking like the last 5 miles.  I didn't know it that day, but I had Shingles!  I was wondering why I was so....freaking...tired...  Not a great race for me, but the race itself was well put on.

2012

These are results from 2012, when I decided I wanted to do at least 12 organized races over the course of the year..  I walked several 5Ks before running any, and if you're not ready to run I say you should still sign up and walk!  Really, there are many, many people who walk them all, so don't feel strange!  :)

In bold are races I've already completed with times, and not bolded are races I'm looking forward to.  PR's in Red, Longest Distance in Green.  (I don't count Virtuals for PR's)

Heart of Katy 5K   2/10/2012  50:09  15:35/M  Walked

Run 4 the Children 4M  3/24/2012  1:01:01  14:33/M  4 Mile race, ran 4 minutes, walked 1 5 times and then I walked the rest

Blue Bell Fun Run 5K  4/14/2012  57:49  17:35/M  Walked with friend, walking and talking ;)

Westminster Women's Classic Virtual 5K  5/12/2012  36:10  11:20/M  Ran most of it, and I don't count virtuals for PRs because the GPS can be a little wonky

Walk like MADD 5K 5/19/2012 No time recorded, walked and chatted with friends the whole way, and didn't push myself, because I ran Girls on the Run the next day

Girls on the Run 5K   5/20/12  38:48  12:31/M  Ran the whole way, but it was HOT and I felt absolutely terrible for days afterwords because I got overheated :(

Impact a Hero  5K 6/2/12   38:58   12:34/M   Took 2 walk breaks because I started getting overheated again and I didn't want to feel like I did after GOTR.  Walk breaks only totaled about 1 minute, so my pace was technically better.  Again, it was HOT.....

Katy Fit Pacefinder 5K  7/7/2012  39:00 12:20/M  3/1 the whole way

Hot Mama Virtual Half Marathon 7/28/2012 3:15:00  14:53/M  Did 3/1 for about the first 7-8 miles and then we started to really lose stamina.  Our goal was to FINISH and we did.  And we lived to tell about it.  And about a week later we were willing to sign up for another 1/2 in December ;)

9/11 Heroes Run 5K 9/8/2012  43:37 14:04/M  The race started late, by the time it started it was 9am, 93 degrees, and we were on the tarmac at Ellington Airport.  The heat was oppressive and I walked the majority of the way because of it....

Gritty Goddess Mud Obstacle Course 5K 11/3/2012- Recap- Not timed, took us about an hour.  We ran most of the distances between obstacles and took our time.  It was a blast. :)

Color Run 5K 11/11/2012- Recap- Not timed, but a TON of fun!  I highly recommend it, but don't expect to run.  There were 10,000 people signed up for our race and running was virtually impossible.  This was totally ok with me, because we had kids in tow, but if we didn't have the kids I would have had it in my brain I could run most of it, which was totally not happening.  ;)

Day After the End of the World Half Marathon 12/22/2012- 3:12:01 14:39/M (garmin time) 3:21:08 Official Time- Recap- Did 3/1 the entire race with the exception of hills and water stations.  Great race for my first official half, but a tough, tough trail run!  I was surprised at how hard it was for me, but then when I plugged in my garmin and saw all of the elevation changes I decided to give myself a break :) (Red and green because it was a PR and my longest distance, the actually race (being measured by the Mayans) lasting a little over 13.5 miles....

Santa Hustle 5K 12/23/12-  58:02  19:59/M Recap-  Walked the majority of it because we had kids in tow and had done the Half Marathon the day before.  Declared it a "recovery run/walk".  So ends my year of organized races....   14 races out of a goal of 12 for the year!  WOOHOO!
